Arduino Based Drunken Driver Detection and Speed Monitoring System for Vehicles
The vehicle-based countermeasure system gradually monitors the vehicle’s speed locking system as it runs from high (100kmph), medium (60-80kmph), and low (40kmph), assisting the driver in safely reaching the destination. In the worst-case scenario, the system disables the car by turning off the ignition. The Global Positioning System (GPS) records the location and transmits it to authorities using a Global System for Mobile (GSM) device and a one-time password. Only after entering the password will the car be restarted. In the back end, all of the riding conditions, amount of alcohol detected, vehicle speed, and location are automatically and precisely transmitted to the net GSM as soon as the sign of alcohol is discovered for investigation purposes.
